first of all i dont not say they were primos i was simply stating that primos are highly respected for there square taper design. second those are not snafu cranks. they are just norco knockoffs of snafus and primos because in 2007 they did not use snfu cranks anymore they just manufactured there own without the snafu logo for a fraction of the cost. third bmx cranks in this day and age are usually stronger then mtb cranks because they must stand up to much more flat drops which will create more stress on the axle and crank arms then anything done in mtb during this era of ridng. take bender for example, he use profile cranks, why u ask? because they were stronger and stiffer then anything mtb had to offer. and last why did you have to bring my not riding downhill or freeride into the conversation when we were simply discussing the advantages and disadvantages of square taper which does not in any way lead to the conversation of big bikes being cool and skatepark being "gay" when the relevance of this is nill. sorry for not conforming to riding free ride and downhill it must be difficult to here and i understand. now let me be and i will ride my style of riding and you can ride yours. seeing as you ride skatepark as well it seems kind of silly to diss it. rant over
we all know these cranks are fairly weak .... but while ridden they were a durable crank for dirtjumping and look at the price ...... if you can go buy cranks for that cheap that hold up as well as i have seen these ones do .... go for
Ryan. You ride real bikes a bit. (By real bikes I mean something with knobs for tires that you use on dirt or rocks. None of the poser concrete stuff.)
