When I started the berm a loooong time ago I thought it might be a good idea to dig spikes in the ground and frame it. Now I think they might be a hazard because they could snap/crack under pressure.

It's not done yet though, my goal is to have the wood entirely covered and past the tree you can see @ top right

 Probably a better idea to rip the wood out as it will rot and collapse eventually. Requires you put a bit more dirt on the berm now but you will be thankful for it later. Looking good though
