 My dhx 5.0 did a simular thing, what happens is that the bolt that holds the plunger onto the end of the push rod comes loose and works its way out. Its easily remedied though with some locktight.

 very common problem then, yea i guessed that the bolt had wound itself loose bit poor really aint it mate, i mean a bit of threadlock aint guna bust fox budget is it Smile

i hav no faith in fox anymore rockshox or mara it is

 They put thread lock on but obviously its not a strong enough compound that they use. I now now how my shock works and goes back together lol. I rebuilt mine myself. Its not as hard as people like push and tf tuned would have you think.

 exactly the same thing happened to me with my dhx 4.0...strange... ordered a new vivid 5.1 but that doesnt fit the proceed vrc... kinda sucks

 thats mental I got in touch with mojo suspension they sorted mine on warranty its spot on nar, the vivid dont fit? the eye to eye should be 222mm with 2.80 piston stroke if that helps

 chainreactioncycles rebuilt mine and it works perfect now.. the vivid doesnt fit because they made the spring bigger in diameter so it doesnt fit between the two plates of the frame.

 omg,shit,same happens to a friend of mine with his yeti 303(dhx5).i allways thought this was a individual case !!!!!!

 mental aint it loads of people have had same problem, in mojo/fox's defence they did sort it under warrany within 3days but that shit could have been a very nasty accident, thankful i wernt riding

 agree,.....and my friend has to pay for the rebuilding,no warrenty!!!!! but therefore is the dent from the shock in his frame for free.......

 thats crap id get on to fox or thier service guys hound them its there fault, theres many people with same problem they should rectify the problem and even replace his frame, its lack build quality from fox, a bit of thread lock is all whats needed for the shock to not fail therefore its fox's problem,

fox = suck
