man kona stinkys are riding by pros they arnt good enough for a pro pros ride crazy bikes the pro frames are worth more then you stinky (take in mind cam mccauls trek ticket)that frame is better then a stinky complete and an pro bike has fox forks and stuff

wow this discussion sucks, then compare a rememdy slopestyle to it, it can take more than a stinky, 6" travel and only mccaul has one (semenuk has a 4" travel one) and its a hell of a lot lighter and stronger. discussion conclusion: there are better bikes than a stinky with 888s now shut up

Kona's are nice bikes if you buy the frame and build them to your own liking, I ride one myself. They are NOT however the best bikes. No where near. The fact that they are an accessible price to your average guy makes them a good contender though.

true i think i read 700 for stinky now (not sure) i think if you put 200 more in you would have a nicer bike but the cowans i think are all right just cheaper konas are worse

most of the frames in broken bike area are kona's granted. but as they are so cheap how many kona's are out there in relation to other bikes???

i know people who have and its all over the place that they are crap frames but if you look in broken bikes or some thing in pictures lots of konas strt coming up.

Bass and Cowan are the same frame. I've never seen a cracked stinky in person. The fact of the matter is that there are more Kona's around than other bikes. Do you honestly think Kona would refuse to address a cracking issue if there was one? I've seen more Kona's in person than I have Intenses, and yet I've seen 3 broken Intense frames and only 1 broken Kona - Your going to tell me an Intense M6 is a shit bike?

with all bikes they have to be used for the purpose, try using a rockhopper, for example, for full on WC DH, it wont survive, but kona's don't do their intended application as well as others, maybe with kona's rep they may want for focus on XC where they wont be doing drops more then 3 foot....

konas were nice back in the day when they were hand built, and the owners cared about making a nice bike. now they are just chinese built peices of shit.

konas do make nice bikes not the strongest way they built the metals nor the best welds but because they are also a bit cheaper of a bike you may not always care for them as much, so then you will try anything with it, take them off like 12ft drops... Beacause so many ppl have bought them ridin them and broken, snapped w.e they say kona is shit, basicly its the way ppl ride a bike. like me i hit a tree with my brody awl 06 and I broke a weld i still dont think they're shit its the way I was riding my bike. so now can we put a stop to this womens conversation. like they argue about fuckin clothes just like us argue about wich bikes are shit and whos better.

sorry cam1001 you cant talk about frames when your jump bike frame is aluminum. i went through 2 of the stp frames in 4 months. so i switched to cr-mo. i duno though maybe the cheaper giants are shit maybe you just get what you pay for.
