Is there something wrong with the RST fork? its worked perfect for me so far. And no, not really at all. I had it on 26" before, but decided to try out the 24" wheels.
RST just might be the worst company out there. I'd definitely prefer a Velvet to that.
And take a look at the chainstay length. It just looks really off.
The chain stay length is not altered at all when it comes to wheel size, so that wouldn't effect it, simply may look funny due to the gap between the tire and the bottom bracket. I agree, I would prefer a Velvet over an RST, but why not just get a 831? Its all money man, why not go with something simple, cheap, and effective? Just my thoughts.
I agree that it is physically unchanged, but the chainstay is meant for a 26" wheel which would make it out of proportion (bigger) for a 24" wheel. I've just heard such terrible things about RST and I've seen so many of their low-end forks around that I can't seem to think of them as a good company. I should shut up and ride one but without that, I'm irrationally unconvincible. And I'm totally with you on cheap/simple stuff.
RST is giving a shitty rep. because of the gila. its a really common fork, but its ment for basic riding, like just down a dirt road and your little bro's ramp. They really arent that bad of a fork once you get into thier top of the line stuff.
but i agree with hombre 24s look retarded on a 26 frame even tho its more fun and easy to do shit with its just the fact that its not meant to be and they dont look like they fit
