I know this is old but... No it's a boxer, and was shot with a wide angle or fish eye.

Turnip whats you gear set up?

Like this shot alot, did you get blamed for the bail?

It was shot on an Olympus e-510 with a 14-45 zoom (set at 14mm). The front tyre was practically touching the lens when the photo was taken! I don't think the rider blamed me for the bail, but at least he had a soft landing on the grass behind me. 3 riders who crashed on this part of the track in a later race had be be taken away by air ambulance, so it could have been worse!

Agree with u there, not the best place to crash, I came away with a broken wrist at the last race in October! Its the braking bumps right before the quarry drop, not the best time to be losing control :/

Awesome picture!!

There didn't seem to be so many crashes there last year, the bumps must be worse now

isn't a near miss a hit? think about it...

Maybe a hit is something serious and a near miss is a tap on the head.

Thanks. I probably owe apologies to the rider as he landed in a heap just after I took this!

Yeah, I thought it was worth it, not sure if the rider did though!
