been selling those bad boyees ever since they came out in 2006 --- lots of people say the same thing: they look funky... but EVERYONE who tries them think they ride great.

Couldn’t agree more! They look heavy, and lets be honest not very good either, but I can't see it when I'm riding, so all that matters to me is that it rides well, and it certainly does! Plus brown is hardly a good looking colour! haha Beer

Haha Yes, I do remember saying that I would get one on your pinkbike review of the Quake Razz - Which setting should I have the bolts in for DH? The higher or lower option? Smile

put the bolt in the lower one, slackens the bike up Smile

Ok, Well I'm off on a riding holiday next week, so will get her dialed in there Smile I think on the to replace list is: Rims, Saddle, perhaps tyres & Cut steerer. Anything else I should change? How much sag should I be running? 30%? Thanks for the help Dan Smile

around 30% is perfect Smile yuh I'd ditch the kendas, they're not very good imo

I was thinking that to, Maxxis Minion should be a good bet for me Smile Just weighed her, a slither under 38lb, not bad Big Grin - I'm think perhaps getiing Stans ZTR Flow rims, what are you running?

minions or highrollers are the best all round Smile Im on Mavic Ex729's Smile faultless, light and strong + they look amazing!
  • 2 0
Something like that Smile I dont know alot about the mavic range, but everyone seems to love them Smile - So I guess thats a good start Razz

Ive been running them for around year, and I'm not the kindest person on rims, and they're still true, and only have one small dent Smile

Sounds good to me, I made a thread a while ago about this ( www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=85760 )And a majority did say Mavic Smile Syncros rims dont look to bad either :/

what size drops do you do on that thing?
  • 1 0
Well there is a difference between what size I do, and what size it is capable of doing Razz - I'm not sure how big the drops are, I'd guess anywhere between 8-12ft mabye more or less, really depends on speed, and there aren't any drops local to me to do, so I dont do them often Frown - I use it more as a short travel DH bike since they are alot more DH trails for me to ride compared to more Freeride type trails, the UK has very little when it comes to freeride Frown
