I set the shutter speed very low and the ISO very high on my camera because it was dark (nightride). This allows the camera to capture a detailed image in low light conditions, but it also means that anything fast moving is either invisible or leaves a trail, because the shutter is open and taking in light for such a long time. The result looks cool when a rider's light leaves a trail as the rider passes by, which is the case here.
I saw some awesome shots like this in an old issue of Bike Magazine, you could tell exactly which line people took through rock sections.
