Bummer. Well, not for me as I know I don't need anything more than super adjustable freeride bike= voltage fr, but there are many of my friends who would like to have voltage dh version, as the gambler looks overkill because of it's massive design. Not that gambler is bad ride, I've tried it and it rides really well, just the trend now is to have super lightweight dh bike and this one looks really like it, in addition to great customer support here in Slovenia. Not that I'm expert in this, but it might be worth considering producing this bike afterall.
I agree with you. I would love to produce it but we don't have the OK from the big bosses. For flat out DH the Gambler is way faster than the Voltage DH. We built the Voltage DH for Floriane Pugin of the Scott 11 DH team, by the way.
Great bike! but... How it is possible that your bike has 8 inch of rear travel? I checked it and voltages have max. 180mm (about 7 inch). Did you change something?
It is a prototype. I ride for Scott and do a lot of development and testing for the gravity bikes. Look at the front shock mount and orientation of the shock and then compare it to the stock Voltages.
Is it me, or is that the most slack head angle ever? Litrally looks like land some thing and snap ? MAybe just the angle of the photo ? But then it does look like a sweet bike ! And also why an air shock ?!
the air shox is WAY lighter than coil. generaly feels great but the reboun is slower than the coil (personnal preference I guss ) Ive own both coil and air on different bike but yeah it does help for the weight
A lot of the stuff I ride and build is steep like the Champery WC DH track. In those conditions the head angle is great. On slower or flatter terrain I would run it steeper.
