Thank you, the reason for the Totem over the 36 was I just didn't like the feel of the 36 as it kinda felt clunky and spindly compared to the Totem. I was around 250lbs with gear on when I bought the SXT and I could feel that the 36 was just nowhere near as stiff as the Totem, as for the clunky bit I dunno it may have just have been that they needed to be broken in or the fork itself was just bad out of the box, I dunno...
Then the other side of it as well was that I wanted more of a mini DH rig than a full on DH bike and the Totems fit that aspect better than the 36's.
I would like to see how it rides with a 180 fork to be honest.
As for the 36 mine feel beautiful ha thats why i wanted to know what made you get rid but fair enough.
The frames are amazing though definitely a mini dh rig!
I love the feel of it with the Totem, I say if you get the chance to try it go for it...Hell when I bought it the shop put on a 2006 rc2x 888 for me (new) and it felt great, but I just wanted to go lighter so I put on the Totem, and it still felt good. I will not go back. It handles great and will hold its own on most lines. No complaints here.
It feels great, it is very stable at high speed and feels real good in the steeps. As i stated above it feels just like a DH rig just with less travel.
It is a well handling bike for DH, though obviously it isn't a full bore race machine it is still a fast bike. I find that it is very confidence inspiring, tracks well and the suspension feels bottomless.
Cool cool, I would suggest getting the 2010 version as Fox has stopped making the DHX series that fits the 09 SXT. Specialized has tweaked the 2010 frame to fit the new DHX RC4.
