As long as you rebuild them once you've got them out of the box, pack in plenty of grease to the seals and use plenty of decent lube in the lowers then they're great. For the money that some shops are selling them at too they're a steal. I run a little too much oil in the damper leg intentionally (in the lowers, not the damper itself) so that instead of bottoming out metal on metal there's a more gradual ramp up from a quasi-air spring effect. I'll maybe throw a Team compression rod in there but I'm more likely to make up my own damper for it if I do anything just so I can get a little more low speed.
I haven't pulled the damper apart yet though to see exactly how they differ from the MoCo on the 32mm Teams (aside from the obvious lack of floodgate threshold adjuster) so will wait until I've done that before coming to a decision on what to do with them.

As for the race run I stupidly changed the back wheel as it had quite a meaty crack in it. It would have survived fine though. No punctures all weekend because I was using soft MTX29 rims (which were pretty battered after just one days riding) but then used a Deemax for the race run which is hard as nails. Of course I got a puncture on the first rock garden as a result. Puncture and no damage to the rim. Suffice to say I'll never be using a Deemax again, I'd far rather consider rims to be as disposable as tyres otherwise you just end up wasting an entire weekend and going home with nothing. That puncture was at 38psi too! Absolutely gutting, I'd had such a chilled out seeding run, and had so much more left in the tank...oh well, that's racing.

cheers man. yeh i heard they pretty decent forks for the money and they look smart as too! i just feel my forks are a wee bit flexy thats just because they are pretty skinny. and just looking for an upgrade to be honest. gutted to hear about the race run. right at the top as well you must have been pissed off! where did you qualify?

Yeah, they are. Like I say though don't expect them to have much lube in there. It's a bit annoying but I'd always pull a fork apart pretty quickly anyway. Easily fixed and it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to relube them. As for seeding I placed second, just behind Jack Geoghegan. Pissed off and gutted just doesn't cut it when it comes to the race result!

and is that an older model rebound adjustment knob on a 2010?

No, it's the 2010 Race which uses the MoCo of the older fork. To be honest it's a pretty good fork with that damper. I used the 2009 fork all last year and really liked the damper, I just found the chassis to be a bit flexy when really pushing. The Teams and WC's are good forks, I just don't think that they're worth the extra money - you can get the races to work well with a little TLC out the box.
