(Jul 1, 2010 at 13:53)
i just got one, the HD video is amazing!
does anyone know what lens he is using in this pic?
(Jul 1, 2010 at 17:44)
no man its the canon 50mm 1.8 u can pick one up for $110
(Jul 6, 2010 at 18:25)
Is that a good lens?
(Jul 6, 2010 at 18:51)
its a GREAT lens, but again, its also very dependent on what you want to do with that lens. What do you expect from it?
(Jul 6, 2010 at 21:45)
im personally looking for a wider angle lens that gets crisp shots.
(Jul 6, 2010 at 22:36)
well the 35mm you linked isn't a wide angle lens, its going to give you a nice depth of field but might not be the super sharp crisp shots your looking for, i suggest checking out some of this guys work:
you can really learn alot about different lenses from watching his blog videos.
At 41 seconds is the kind of shot you will get with that 35mm lens. This is probably at F/1.8

those "geeks" youre calling them .. are the ones making your nice pics when you can perform eventually..
(Oct 20, 2010 at 15:38)
Im sorry plumstick but I see no reason for you to even need to comment on something you obviously understand so little about.
(Oct 24, 2010 at 19:52)
lol, plumstick you probably sound like a geek to non-bikers when you talk about stanchions, dropouts, and the newest heat-dissipation system for your hydro disk brakes.
(Jan 9, 2011 at 19:42)
im not sure this is the f/1.8 II, it looks more like the f/1.4 but I could be wrong.
(Dec 19, 2010 at 17:29)

(Dec 19, 2010 at 19:28)

(Jan 5, 2011 at 10:24)
7D for the win
(Jul 2, 2010 at 20:13)
is he just using one of those lil tripods that you can get anywere or does that have a legit swivel on it?
(Jul 2, 2010 at 20:16)
it kinda looks like he mounted a ball head on top of tht diamond plate
(Jul 18, 2011 at 16:17)
It would suck to see that thing roll away down the hill!!
(Jul 19, 2011 at 9:52)
Ya that would be funny but suck
(Jul 1, 2010 at 17:46)

(Oct 17, 2010 at 23:23)
or a dolly/slider
(Jul 1, 2010 at 13:28)
damn thats legit
(Jul 28, 2010 at 6:19)
I know this is a stupid question but what is the point of this? why cant you just use a tripod?
(Jul 30, 2010 at 9:41)
because it rolls on a track so thats how you get the moving shots...
(Sep 7, 2010 at 14:39)
It vastly increases the sickness of your footage.
(Nov 16, 2010 at 8:14)
hahaha, highly technical explanation sir! I like it! haha
(Jul 14, 2010 at 13:01)
