I don't know of the eventual specs of the bike, but all the future fox forks are going to have the Kashima coating, so I assume this eventually will as well.

2012 and beyond?, rc2 forks for 2011 only have coat..my r doesnt...dece fork though

All the R models now have the kashima coating as far as I know. Originally it was just the higher end models.

I heard that only after market forks will get the Kashima, all the OEM will have what ever they call that.
