when companys build a whole line up of bikes but make one soooooooo similar to the big bikes the only difference is an inch or two of travel to me it seems pointless.
an inch or two makes a big difference, and the frames are all the same (except the a-line because it has thicker tubing to stand more abuse, but other than the thickness of the tubing the frames are build the same) but the point of having different models is to match peoples budget, and so people get what they want.. you comment does not make sense
actually it is the same in every way. the difference comes in the tubeset. the A-line has a heavier tubeset than both DH models. The market for this bike is people who want a bombproof bike that dosnt have the weekspots that a full on race bike (which the team dh is). this bike is for the bike park and rental fleets.
You could say that about most companies including Specialized, Giant, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Evil, Banshee, Trek (now that the Session10 is gone), Commencal, Devinci... and the list goes on...
