Sam jumped the transfer, unfortunately upon landing, his forks snapped from the steerer, throwing him off the bike, sending him unconscious, and knocking out his teeth
He did wear a helmet
hey im sam (the guy in the pic) I WAS WEARING A HELMET!! i cant stress that enough, it was a a quality bern helmet... what actually hapened was i went big, i came up short, argyles snapped and i face planted and slid down the whole bank on m face. the reason the forks snapped was i rode them extremely hard for 2 years. everyday... it just cant handle it. rockshox gave me brand new forks even tho they wernt in warrenty, plus they send me the upgrades to the old ones. oh btw im $4000 down in dental bills, after the private health insurance.
you're a lucky man getting a good replacement from rockshox, my warranty battle with them was a nightmare! That's a brutal pic, hope you're all fixed up now and are shredding again
That's always a nightmare hunting me....going with great speed doing all fine in one moment, then the fork snaps and bam! Protective gear can give you some comfort but in the end we all leave our faces on the trail as a sticker sometime...
are you fucking retarded, read the description, and the comments, he was wearing a helmet you dick head, his fork snapped and he slid on his teeth and jaw
Yeah, that'll make em wanna stay in the game. Bike parks get sued enough and guess what happens? No bike park. So sick of sue-happy, make me rich cuz I broke your product f*ggots. Shit breaks. It's part of the game. And here I thought it was just the Americans that liked to sue everyone!
Either way, I'm sure it's not the first time that's been thought of or done. We ALMOST had a designated ride area set up here...on kind of a trail-opening day some kids fat mom sprained her ankle in a gopher hole and sued the state for $300,000. Expensive ankle. I hope she chokes on a quarter.
fuck man, sorry to hear about that. we feel your pain here, we have one good place to ride and the locals treat it like shit, so the cities taking it out soon.
It was over before it even started. Not the first time for stuff like that! I'm sure there's people like that everywhere...but they seem to flourish in America! Hell, the fat, lazy, and greedy seem to THRIVE here! I'm so jealous of you people who are proud of where you're from! I'm going to be reincarnated Canadian for sure! Hell...I know more of your national anthem than I do of my own! And mine just sounds like "moneymoneymoneymoneymoney...lalala lalala...moneymoneymoney..." Ha!
Lmao. Sorry you feel that way. If you do decide to move to canada, for the love of god stay away from sothern ontario. go north, waay north, less ignorent people, nicer land, better places to ride. Try to get to B.C. You'll be stunned.
Well...headed for Bellingham, WA this summer. Moving whole family so we can be closer to people who are to busy LIVING to complain about life! Hope to spend a LOT of time among the trees of BC!
Bellingham, WA is a great place to live. i lived in seattle and my brother went to western washington u in Bellingham, beautiful town and a great feeling to the town
