I love your bike, got me building a new bike. I may take the frame from work in a few days, 26" sub but i have 24" wheels so don't know how that will feel but i have same fork and want to build one like yours with my white wheels. wanted the cap but bought some hopes not long ago.. any thoughts on the 26" with 24" i had an 07 with 24s and that was great. but dont know if anythings changed.
Thanks for the info. i didn't mind my old 26" suburban.. i will throw my fork and wheels on it to get a rough idea on how the BB height is, If its around the same height as it is now expect pictures
Which forks are those? Fox float 32? which year? Im very interested in a pair of Fox fork and I like these a lot!! How do they ride? And which is the stock suspension? 100mm?
The hydraulic bottom out works in the last 3cm of the travel, and in this case it'll be working over basically every jump, unless you have the forks super, super stiff. Plus when you lower the forks, it keeps the same suspension feel as the top 6cm of the fork before you lowered them. Re-tuning them makes them tons more smooth, and more like the way the fork was made to feel before lowering. My LBS warned me about all this when lowering mine. Only have to do it if its below 100mm but a guy I know lowered his to 80mm and destroyed them in a few months of riding.
I was under the assumption the bottom out was a spring in the air side, and no when you lower the fork you change the spring rate in the air chamber, so it definitely won't feel the same.
Ya....in Canada maybe... But I can get one for at least 900 at my lbs though. In the states they're definitely under 1000 everywhere (almost). Anyways beautiful bike!
The lint is blue/gray and no you dummy, they are safety scissors. Y'know, for safety, not for killing idiots that offer you S&M BMXs and Norco Havoks as trade for your bike.
