i did have my traff on 26's, it was nice nall but i just found 24's nicer and easier to throw around i had flat 3's dow to a tee. so i have rawed my frame , forks and bars and painted same componentry and its on 24's. shud have pics up by sunday. tbh im not trying to boast but i would say theres a chance of it being the best 24" traff on pinkbike.
not the highest spec: no juicy ultimate, no fox 831s dt swiss or some mavics would be better, headset aint the best hubs are good but kings are better etc...
i said about the highest not the highest possible, wheels dt swiss and mavic arent any better weight to strength wise, kings maybe, but theyre heavier so no, headset isnt bad, and the brake works, and its not a dh bike so technically it makes no difference. and its the highest spec traffic ive seen.
yeah jealous, my dj ride had atlas bars and cranks, hope tech m4 ( was a mono mini ) spank stiffys on pro 2 hope headset bb and front qr, hope seat clamp, dmr v12 pedals, peaty grips, dmr moto diggers, e13 chainring, gusset seat and post. So no im not jealous.
why would you want m4 brakes on a dj? LOL too powerful mate. if you want hope brakes on a dj get like some trail ones or sumat. :L. and yeah its not good spec 2bh
ok lets break this down: atlas cranks are worse than saints, atlas bars are worse than controltech scandiums, spank stiffys on pro2 = freedom disc on pro 2 and 3, stronger but shitloads heavier, hope headset = fsa pig pro, v12 pedals are worse than nc17 sud pin pro III, moto diggers are a pile of wank compared to sb8 and raceking, chainring e13 not as good as renthal, no bash so no comparison, grips are grips, gusset seat and post heavier and generally not as good as macneil pro, the only thing that yours is better is the m4, but like i said, a brakes a brake on a dj bike. your frames worse, your forks are worse. the only thing you have on me apart from the brake is a stronger rim, but considering the freedoms havent slightly bent hooking up on 30 foot jumps and me being a general hack i see your rims as being worse, as its completely unnneccesary weight for no relistically needed gain. you lose, quite badly. sorry.
not buying 21.5 pounds at all, the spec isnt even that light at all. lightish fork heavy wheels ok frame brake saint cranks the only really light shit are the tyres and the bar/ stem.
Its around 23, i had dodgy scales... you obviously dnt know much about light parts. forks are one of lightest on market, wheelset is very light, but strong, frames average, saints arent heavy, not light obv. do the math.
ok bro, well your wheelset is not light, your fork is around 4 pounds(could be lighter) saints ARE heavy and the frame is average. i run parts entirely lighter than yours (aside from bars/ stem) and my bike is around 24 lbs. 23 pounds is debateable, but possibly true. 21.5 is just not possible with this spec.
Your calling 545g rims, 110g front hub not light? go find me lighter. forks are 3.5 lb, i dno what you call light cranks but sub 1kg with a bb is respectable. and i can give u a full spec list that comes out at under 23lb so id be quiet if i were you. end of conversation, stop clogging my pic up with useless rants of something u know bugger all about.
im not dissagreeing that it isnt light, but 21.5lbs? i dont think so. i know you re did your weight so its more reasonable. sorry about this useless argument/ misconception.
the fox is a float, so you can pump it up as hard as you want the fact that its qr instead of bolt thorugh can be noticed on the 4x track though, if im completely hoest.
on 26s its on the hard side, but if you use any slight inclination it is perfect for when you get going and for general riding around etc i love it. plus with the chain when its brand new i run the backwheel fully slammed and the chain fits like a glove, as shown in the pics so no gay tightening and stretching the back wheel out for chain tension.
