Here in the states, any furniture/matress manufacturer or factory will have dumpsters full of foam outback, or inside, just ask them. Worst they can do is say no, and it's always free.

Yea I my dads an upholsterer so I might get him to ask some of the other dudes in town to help collect it.

Just wait for the pit, I can almost front flip to "tires" Into the pit now but I wouldn't have wanted any of those falls to happen into water

do pits wreck the seals on your fork eventually or anything? Because this will be regular use
  • 1 0
I don't see why they would

Something started to loosen in the front end after repetitive ridiculously soft dirt landings. My headset got pretty crappy too
  • 1 0
Well the lose ness could just be you being hack-attack learning new shit, and your headset could be from all the dust from loose dirt. But I know people who ride foam all the time and there bikes are just fine

is that gonna be your foam pit?

Think about it, if its in a hole, it will fill up with water, this on had a drain out the side of the hill but it stil lwasnt big enough. Build it above the ground or your guaranteed to fail

uhuh. and its also going to be ridiculously expensive.
  • 1 0
Uhh I know but what can you do man, Just make sure it stays covered/waterproofed
  • 1 0
My dads an upholsterer so we are basically making up a huge waterproof sack that we will fill up with foam. It should now need the supports as its designed to stand itself but we dug this hole for dirt so we are making use of it. The pit will be 2.5 meters deep 4 meters wide 5 meters long. Minimum size I know but its alot better than flipping to dirt first time. And big enough to learn tailwhips in. If we have extra material we will the sack bigger so if we ever move it we can have it bigger.

Oh for sure, its a pit man its better than flipping to anything. and its plenty deep enough at 2.5M and 4Mx5M is decently big, thats around 12'x15'

The hole does taper to wards the bottom but that shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully will finish it soon but in the mean time I will stick to freezing cold river jumping to learn flips.

River jumps are painfull if you fuck up man, I don't flip into them, Only tricks like bar hump to tuck no hander to double E.T.

The high chance of missing is worth it. not really if I thought that way i'd flip to dirt lol.
