its not fisheye...both sides would be curved, and thats just the way the tree grew out of that big ass rock!!
im pretty sure its a wide angle lens...just not a legit fisheye lens
I suspect that the righthand side of the pic has been cropped off a little to improve the composition. That may explain why the tree on the left is a little bent and the right hand side looks straighter. But whatever, I wish I had taken the picture! I certainly don't have the balls to ride it.
Thousands of years from now our descendants will find this rock buried, and wonder at the hieroglyphic that is panted so vividly on it! They will stare at astonishment at the contraption that the rider is on, wondering what it is that replaced the horse in the other rock paintings that were found by us!! HaHaha, great pic!!
There's a photo of Wade Simmons hitting this drop from another angle in the Aug 2010 issue of Bike magazine I think. The caption in that photo explains what it's like to negotiate it.
I just spent like 5 mins looking 4 that pic. I knew I'd seen that drop before. Anyway, they're both sick. Now all it needs is a wallride up the rock...
I cant believe that this cliff face has gotten so much attention, drop looks super sick, would love to hit it. As far as this cliff its likely a diatomaceous limestone deposited during the last epiric sea. the more you know...
I was about to write a comment about how people can't accept that it's a bendy tree...but then I saw the top bit was a bit bendy as well and I Oh Em Gee'd... Sick photo by the way I saw the 2010 promo/reel thing of Mark Wallace too, sick DH/FR and DJ
sick picture, should have done a off camera flash on the rock/ rider the on camera lighting up the plants on the right takes away from to photo to me. but exelent shot non the less
