nice lip really well built. but I dont like how you put the 2x4's flat instead of on edge . makes the ramp a heck of a lot more flexy

Yes, they are usually on end(the 2X4's), But it makes it easier for attaching multiple layers of surfacing. and there is absolutely no flex to this ramp at all.
