they said they use 6061-T6 Aluminum, but this bar is 7075-T6...

It must all be lies then obviously... I mean, what kind of machine shop would actually have more than one kind of aluminium stock onhand???

it's just seems silly to make the comment that they use 6061 and show a picture of 7075, it's sending mixed messages. And considering they really only make derailleur hangers, I would think they would tend to stick to a specific alloy for all of them.

Mixed messages??? Seriously? For the record, they make more than just derailleur hangers and saying they use 6061 but showing a shot of some aluminium stock that happens to be 7075 isn't sending mixed messages unless you're a total moron... just let it go already. If you really have a hard-on for 6061, PM me and I'll send you a high res photo of some 6061 stock that you can post over your bed...

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering so don't let it go to your head that you think you know more than me about Aluminum Alloys. And you're old enough to be better than that. At least I would hope. My hard on is actually for 6AL-4V Titanium thank you very much.

Well, if we're talking age... If you're old and intelligent enough to have a degree, particularly in an engineering field, I'd think you'd be old and intelligent enough to recognize that "this is what a close up of a few bars of aluminium stock look like" were all the photo was meant to convey and that you're being a bit of a wanker by splitting hairs over the type of alloy and crying about "mixed messages". How about just let it go already?
