Wow... Sweet ride. First Frame Only Ive ever seen. !.How light is the bike built up? 2. How do you like the Straitline guide? I just put one on my session. It is alot quieter than I thought it would be. 3.Have you ever ridden a Trek Session and how similar does the suspension feel to the Wilson? I ride Highland in NH we saw DW test riding his Wilson Split Pivot there. I didnt get to talk to him though.
I'm not sure on the weight...but I'm guessing around 39ish lbs...again just a guess...but I am getting new cranks, pedals, stem, wheel set in the future, so that'll drop about 2 lbs. The guide I sick, although I dropped a chain on the first ride...might just have it not installed 100% correctly though. The session doesn't feel anything like it to be honest. Go try it out!
Yeah, I dropped my chain 3 times the first day out. You have to probably install the next size thicker spacers that they provide. Too much space for the chain to pass thru. Easy fix. Good Luck w/ the new buid. Thanks.
Man that is one of the nicest builds ive seen, how do you afford all this stuff? like i can barely frickin get new parts for my bike x D i want the new wilson soooo bad i mean there one of the nicest frames out there in my opinion
Go with this frame dude. Ive tried out both of those bikes, and they don't even compare to the Wilson. Super stiff, perfect geo. Its an amazing bike, and really thought out.. Good luck getting just the frame though. The completes arent as hard to find; I waited over 3 months before I got my frame though... And it's one of the first frame only's in Canada.
If youre looking at a 951, you might as well get the new m9. Its super sick as a plow bike, but that's it...it's quite portly and doesn't do too well on the jumpy trails like Aline, dirt merchant, etc.
As for the V10 (carbon I assume), it is a sick frame! But in my opinion, it is quite ugly in any color other than the team replica, which will set you back about 7 grand...and comes as a complete only. I don't know what it is, the Wilson is just AMAZING on the berms, super quick on the dh trails, and works perfectly On jumpy trails.
