Selected by Ian Hylands - This is just a really nice photo. Call it artsy or whatever you want and I'm sure there will be haters, but this is a great shot. Amazing detail and depth, great light, solid composition all work together in this one. And I can only imagine that this trail probably ends at the lake, which is a long ways down...

One of technically best photos on pinkbike. Forest makes ideal background for the rider and highlighted plants and is also an amazing border between static landscape and action on the foreground. Epic mountains, lakes and clouds give this photo outstanding climate.

This is the most amazing photo I've seen on PinkBike so far. Funny thing is, since Ian has started selecting them, I've thought "How will this POD ever be topped?" a few times now! The variety of photos for POD has been great as well. As much as I like to look at tricks, I don't do them, so to me they're just cool photos. This image on the other hand, gets me totally stoked on riding, and at the end of the day that's what it's all about, right? Great job Mr. Hylands, keep it up.

Awesome picture! I like the lighted grass, especially in this photo;-). By the way, this is the same mountain as in the "time exposure pod" a few days earlier. Do you recognize the hill that juts out on the lake?

this is a cool shot n all but its more about the scenery than the biking in this photo. a pod should have good scenery but the biker should be playing more of the roll than the scenery. anyone could get pod if all you had to do was have a good photographer

Biking, scenery and lighting all come hand in hand with these photos. Its finding the right balance, that's the tough part, but this photo has it. It makes me want to ride. I'm sure it makes others want to ride too.
