A little bit of a teaser shot for you from practice day of Round 1 of the 2011 BDS. Matt Simmonds showing us hows its done - Laurence CE - www.laurence-ce.com
To be honest, I've got both hard-shell shin/knee pads as well as 661 Kyle Straights, and even the hard-shell one says, "This product will not protect against significant impacts, nor will it significantly reduce the chance of a fracture".
The Kyle Straights aren't designed to withstand impacts large enough to break a bone. They are more to prevent lacerations and below, to be honest.
You have to knock yourself pretty damn hard to break any bone, and a layer of plastic and low-yield impact foam isn't really going to effect that all that much.
Hopefully yeah, haha there's no pro rider shots on there if they are there by accident there for factory jackson and possibly wideopen most of my i was just there shots are on r and r
