only for road use, no brake either. the actual pattern holds very little structural value

yes im aware of that, that rim and hub was just supplied to try lacing patterns out. wouldnt want to use it on anything other than road/fixie type bikes

fair play, you could just go mad i suppose, do you need really long spokes to compensate for the twisting?
