Hi mate, I went fir the Cane Creek in the end and am blown away by it. However I can't believe how soft it is! Seems to be a huge amount of sag but TF are sure it's the correct spring.

I am after a Ti spring now but am not sure which one. Is your nukeproof a standard Fox one? |s it a decent fit, no rubbing etc?

Good call on the shock. Yeah, TF sent mine with a 350lbs spring and I'm 12.5stone! I swapped it for my Nuke Proof Ti 400lbs spring - the one that's pictured - and it still feels soft initially but I think it works perfect. Reading Cane Creek's literature I think they are meant to feel very soft in the first 30-40% of the stroke. It's not a bad thing when riding. The Nuke Proof Ti spring is a perfect fit, I can guarantee you!

Thanks. I just rode the TR450 for the first time and am totally blown away by it. It just accelerates everywhere but is very flickable and popable. Ordered the 500lb cheap steel spring to try that as it feels way too soft, almost unrideable at 450! If that works I will then get the ti spring.

Can I just confirm the regular Nuke proof (for fox etc) spring fits just right?

Yeah, fox fitting - my ti spring came of a previous Fox Rc4...

I just ordered a TR450 and am debating getting the Cane Creek on instead of the RC4. Can you tell me where you got the Ti spring from and what settings are you using on the DB? Hows the TR450 for Scotland?

Hi mate. The CCDB feels great. I changed it straight away so haven't yet run the TR450 with the RC4 it came with, but I love the CCDB. Great for Scotland because it has so much grip. It's a very grippy shock as it sets up very soft initially (the way CC like it to feel apparently) so you sit nicely into the travel. I'm running the same Nuke Proof Ti spring i had on my old RC4 - it fits perfectly. Let me know if you get one, if you don't mind shelling out for the CCDB I'd say do it as it's well worth it....

Thanks. I ordered the large TR450 and hopefully that will be long enough for me as previous bikes I had or have tried are way too short. Still debating the Cane Creek but very tempted as TF Tuned will sell one all correctly setup and with all hardware and then I could sell the fox straight away as new and make most of the money back. I know the stuff I have had off TF in the past has been very reliable so it should be awesome. Hopefully will build up to a decent weight.

Yeah i got mine from TF Tuned. I'd go large if you're bothered by size as they come up fairly small generally.

Do the derailer and brake cable rub hard on your frame placed like that ?

Nothing bad to report yet but early days. I'll be keeping an eye on it though. I had them run outside the link originally but I didn't like it.
