You get it back with a whole lotta back brake. when you get your whips way out if you break check at the right time it throws your front back around and wont make you nose in....to soon well it can go horribly wrong and you hit face first....Its a learning prcess.

Can't say i have ever grabbed brake on a whip, that sounds like a really scary idea!
