now thats taking trail building to the next level, very impressed. so Twingate, is your council going to try and replicate this compound for your trails?? I know Dans trails are awesome, but why have you sampled the earth in swansea as oppose to a purpose built venue like woodward, where they shipped in the dirt for the place? or have you sampled many spots that you consider to be 'the best around'?

wow, very interesting, every trailbuilder should dabble in a bit of soil science

so basically for perfect dirt, I need this mix?

well this is the mix from the spot where I took the sample, but the dirt does change quite a bit from place to place.

interesting stuff. but who paid for that analysis and why?

Twingate wanted to know what dirt we had as he's making djs for his council I think they paid for it

ah i see, i only ask becuase when our council did that it was the first step towards our old spot (BK trails) getting ploughed. they were sorting out quotes for soil for a new spot which they then decided were too expensive and instead dumped aload of building rubble in a field for us. beware, councils often say one thing then do another!

@haighd2: Wow, that's a real backstab. The really valuable part of any spot would be all the work-hours put in to develop it...
In our case the biggest pain is the painfully slow process dealing with them.
