I don't think its the worst pic in his album at all. There isn't one. All the pics are great. In fact, I don't envy Ian for having to choose!

it may not be pod worth guys but the fact is its a cool picture and every POD can't be a ''60ft gap plus holy shit'' picture fair play Id like to ride that track.

In my opinion it deserves POD! It's a great iconic picture to represent what mountain biking is about!
  • 10 0
i agree with most of your statement... but i dont think it represents what mountain biking is about, this is only one style of MTB and lots of mtbers ride for adrenililne and a thrill rather then scenery. bring on the neg props but this is just my opinion.

 sweet colours

Love it, you can tell Schley is snapping shit out of that corner!
  • 2 1
you can definitely get an adrenaline rush and get thrill from riding xc, its just a different type, still as intense for sure.
  • 2 0
that's right. not every pod should be tail whip or gap jump. awesome scenery and trail, POD!

all you groms have to stop complaining about what should be pod. There's much better things to do than live on pinkbike and wait everynight for what the next pod will be. From a photography standpoint, this shot is handled pretty well, and it contains two of the most influential riders to ever live.

You obviously have a more demanding job than I do- I'm not sitting at home- I'm sitting at my desk bored rigid!!!
  • 9 1
It may not be worthy, but to just discriminate against it? I'd like to see all of you do better...

Great POD!...no jumpy jumpy, just putting in the long miles...
  • 4 5
 totally agree
  • 5 0
Sure, it may not as be as 'WOW' as other PODS but I do think it represents a type of mtb very well. You see people free riding and doing insane tricks but chasing your mate down a hill as fast as you can is one of the most fun things you can do on a bike Smile

 Agree!

 WORD!
  • 2 0
Ok I agree these are two of the most inspirational riders ever- but they weren't exactly cross country riders were they?- I reckon they'd both be kinda gutted to be on a POD getting so many negative comments when they've been going so big for so long.

Not so sure why everyone thinks ripping a trail in the alps on a 6 inch travel all mountain bike is XC?
  • 1 0
Probably the fact they're using XC lids, clip pedals and have both wheels on the ground! If you introduce a facility to comment on these pictures then you cannot expect them all to be in agreement.
  • 1 1
I'd say they think this picture is crap because they're all to super cool and shit hot at DH, FR and BMX to know the advantages of a 6" bike in the alps. Possibly because they've never been there too.

First off, happy birthday Richie! Second, taking a picture of the two is cool, but riding with the two of them is really cool! To the rest of you who don't like it, get over it. There will be a new shot in less than a day.

haters gonna hate ... personally i think this POD is sick ! two friends just absolutely shredding together .. this pick shows what riding with buddies is all about
  • 2 0
Dear lord, its called picture of the day not 'best fricking picture ever' -.-
All the same, sweet to see two legends riding together Smile

Really hard to work with images like that distracting me! Least I got to ride my XC rig into work Stick a Fox or SoCro logo in the grass bottom right, BOOM magazine ad right there!

Nice choice! Wish I was there.
  • 1 1
no.. ciekawe czemu takie zdjęcia dostają poda. Nic specjalnego w nim nie ma. Ładne zdjęcie jak ktoś sobie jedzie, ale nic wiecej. Wielu mógłoby mieć podobne
  • 2 1
Good shot. I was standing taking pics at this same spot only 2 weeks ago.

And Happy B'Day, Richie Boy ! ;-)
  • 1 1
You don't have to wear a full face to rip down the trail. The point is they're on their bikes having one hell of a time while we are commenting on their picture.
  • 1 1
In my opinion this is marginally worse than the indian pod. but still, It makes a bit of a change i suppose...

Haha, I love PB. There's always an international debate about what photo of the day is.
  • 1 1

  • 1 1
Well I think it's a great pod. Reminds me of growing up in bc on the island riding. Great pict guys.

 not pod worthy (bbmtalktothehandface)
  • 6 2
Luckily you and everyone else who said this is "not POD worthy" don't have any say in the matter. It's a sweet shot and it's definitely POD worthy, that's why it's POD. Deal with it, and if you don't like it, instead of complaining maybe come back tomorrow and see if you like that picture....
