i love this bike mate looking at building one on a 2012 frame with fox 36 talas with xtr drive and brakes just wondering what they ride like and whats the rear shock like , thanks
  • + 1
Its a great bike man! The rear shock is a little firm as its an air shock but it means it can climb really well, and also keeps the weight down, I've built this for FR and it still only just weighs in at 36lbs, very fun out on the trails indeed tup

  • + 1
What was yours the gold ti?
  • + 1
yeah!!!! well thats what i ordered and thats what it said on the packaging????
  • + 1
I've just looked at your pictures, I think it looks different because you took yours on an iPhone, whereas these pictures were taken on a proper camera, so maybe its just played around with things a bit?

Move the chain stay protector forward to just behind the chain ring as the most damage occurs on the yoke, and looks nice.
  • + 1
I found it happens where I put it, so it stays Razz
  • + 1
That and the frame bends inwards where the protector stops, so its out of the way of the chain anyhow Salute
  • + 1
Ah well i passed on the info.
  • + 1
Yeah thanks for the help anyhow tup
  • + 1
how are you getting on with this bike mate? thinking of selling my patriot and 456 and building one up as an all round bike
  • + 1
Yeah its a pretty sweet bike man! I'm out of action at the moment due to a crash but the bikes fantastic! After a few crashes I can confirm it is strong lol
  • + 1
haha fair enough man, cheers for the info, climbs well as well as descending?
sucks about the crash mate, what happened? get back on the bike soon bud!
  • + 1
I'd say with my setup it prefers descents but you could easily built one up to be as good at both, even just changing tyres on mine would help the climbing! As for the crash there was a random kicker on the one of my local trails I always accidentally missed and always wanted to hit, so the one day I actually try to hit it, it launches me full chat into a tree lol My hips quite painful still though my knees are getting a little better lol
  • + 1
haha nice, at least you took the man line Wink
  • + 1
Heh, I know right? lol Its a good line, I just hadn't tried it before so I had nowhere idea where the landing was taking me lol
  • + 1

  • + 1
I can't get over how sick this looks.
  • + 1
 Heh, cheers bud! Razz
  • + 1
Does the 2011 frame have guides for a dropper post
  • + 1
Never really looked dude but I'm pretty sure it does as its an AM bike and I think I've seen other people with dropper posts in them.
  • + 1
Okay then how about £2200 Smile
  • + 1
Better. We'll see, I've had a few offers and swaps so I'll see.

  • + 1
 ooooo thats smart.
  • + 1
 What spares do you have?
  • + 1
The lower portion of the chainstay Smile Pretty much one batch of Megas apparently had a fault in them so as a precaution Nukeproof sent a replacement to anybody who'd bought a Mega for free just in case.
  • + 1
 Oh right so which parts?
  • + 1
 Huh?
  • + 1
Mech, chain, cranks, chainring. All of it?
  • + 1
The whole bike is for sale! The only spare I have is the part of the chainstay which is chucked in with the bike for free Smile
  • + 1
Would you sell the cranks? The spare ones
  • + 1
I have no spare cranks, the only thing for sale is the bike as a whole, I'm just throwing in the spare chainstay piece for free.
  • + 1
 oh holy fuck. amazing!
  • + 1
Not sure how I missed your comment lol

Cheers dude tup
  • + 1
 yeah could be...
  • + 1
Probably why, my camera probably boosts the colour slightly whereas yours drains it a little, I imagine they look the same in real life Smile
