Selected by Ian Hylands - Love almost everything about this photo, sick trick, great balance in the lighting, people watching, awesome sky, great composition.
joshbikebender, if that's your band, Try playing more than 3 chords. Or better yet, try playing some reggae or ska. or punk. Or even better yet, quit posting this on Pinkbike. Nobody likes that crap.
I'm sure your mom said, "Hey, you know what I'm going to do to get my son's band noticed? I'm going to post crappy quality videos of them on a biking website!"
I love the sky and the shades of the mountains in the back. I really don't like that picture overall though. You pretty much have no idea of what's happening. I mean yeah, it sure does look like a dirt jump contest but with the people, the background, the dirtpile on the right and the spotlights it looks way too crowded and you have no idea of what happened for the rider to get in that position. I like a lot more when pictures tell a story instead of just a capturing a split second in time. I'm really not difficult with PODs in general but this one doesn't cut it, in my humble opinion.
I get where you're coming from, but is it not fairly obvious from where the rider is looking and spotting the landing, thats it's one hell of a dumped 360?
