Ian, it looks like most of the great photos (this one included) have a flash or some sort of artificial light introduced. Any advice for a point and shoot and a guy on a budget? Any tips for lighting the subject without a flash?
It's often easier to light the subject without flash, however you have to be in the perfect place and wait for the perfect light. I usually can't wait that long or keep coming back to the same spot. But having said that today's newer dslr's can shoot at such high ISO's that it's a lot easier to get good results than it used to be. P&S on a budget though, not really sure. Wait for perfect light I guess...
