Selected by Ian Hylands - Yes I like this. Why, I don't know really, something about flying a whip straight out of the sun and into the camera. And the colors are pretty awesome as well...
Nice pod, 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11, never forget, please think of all the americans, heros, and what had happened today.....Notice how the people above me who commented do have sympathisism, yet they still will never understand what it felt to be an american that day and how close to home that hit
Yes, he knows how it feels when just one person that he knows died. Now try knowing 10-20 people who died and your AMERICAN. Like I said you'll never understand. Notice how all my negative props are all not even near from where it occured
Dude it's not a f*cking competition on how many people you knew. It's the fact he and you still lost someone. It doesn't matter if you lost 100 people, your still going to feel the sorrow of losing someone close to you, and a person you knew. I cant believe you out of all people would become competetive with how many people you lost. Honestly? Thats discussing. Everything in life isn't a competition. Being American has nothing to do with it either. You could have been Canadian and had 10-20 of your close friends die to. Sorry for your "10-20" losses but grow up and realize that death numbers arn't a competition and that you could be any race and from any country and still feel hurt and sorrow, for those how lost their lives, as well if you knew people in that tower.
YOU DO NOT ONLY HAVE TO BE AN AMERICAN TO FEEL SORROW.
ya know what damnit kid, stop, I'm getting off this site because I'm leaving to go to NY and Boston for the week. and I'm done commenting on this shit because 30%of pb are canadians.
OK.. I am down for the lighthearted nationalist pissing contest on about any other subject, but seriously in case some of you forgot, every one of the flags next to your pinkbike names represents a way of life that was attacked on 9/11.. The US maybe the symbol of the western lifestyle to the cave dwelling cowards that attacked us 10 years ago, but they hate ALL of us, not for our flags but for our freedoms. PEACE
Stop what? I was proving the fact that you dont need to be American to be hit by the event nor do you need to loose "10-20" people. So get off the site than doesn't change the fact of what you said, you should relook at what you said because your pretty much saying you Have to be American and losse some number of people to be struck by the event. I'm Canadian and I can remember that day clearly. I was young and was scared shitless cause at that age you dont understand whats happening. You need to chill out.
@xxslopestylerider9x. How about you don't just get off pinkbike today but for good? and keep your arrogant and insensitive comments to yourself and consider that "us as Americans" were not the only ones touched by this tragedy.
im not only adding this picture to my favourites cause of how sick it is, but for the amount of respect alot of you have shown towards 9/11. Rest In Peace to all the brave workers, fire men, volunteers, etc who have passed in the line of duty or to put the lives of otheres before theirs.
An event as tragic and sacred as 9/11 should not be disrespected this way. No single person or nation owns this tragedy, it affects us all. Lets respect those who were lost by respecting each other and this topic, especially today.
I lost no body and feel a great amount of sorrow for the families of the victims of that tragic event (American, Canadian, and any other nationality for that matter.) I hope those evil men burn in Hell forever!
r.i.p for all those lost on this day, it was a tragedy felt by a lot of people in a lot of countries and continues today as a reminder of the terrible things that the human race is capable of. 1. slopestyle, you are an insensitive pr*ck and I cant believe you said that. Please not only leave pinkbike but never open your mouth again on any public forum cause you are far too retarded to even make a comment. Many Canadians lost people as well that day and being American doesnt matter or even how close you are to the site. I knew families in Hamilton, Ontario that lost people that day and I can guarantee you those tears weighed just as much as yours (if you did cry) and f$ck you for claiming otherwise. Its Americans like you that give the world this image of self-centered a$$holes that only care only about themselves and are ignorant to almost everything else in existence. My highst condolenses to everyone who paid the highest cost that day and that it never been forgotten the valor and courage to all those who ran into that building.
@xxslopestylerider9x, you're a dick...thats all there really is to say about you. This is NOT a competition you douche. Way to devalue any comment from anyone else. Thank you to those from other countries that show support, thank you to ANYONE that shows support. You might not be "American" but we're all humans, and we all feel. So @xxslopestylerider9x i hope you get a clue and grow up
i know it's the anniversary, but a pod on pinkbike is no place to discuss such things, it's completely irrelevant to this page. i understand the devastation of 9/11, i was lucky enough not to lose anyone, but i still understand. we've all gone through trauma in our lives. this just isn't the place to talk about it, i'm sorry.
We all know it's no such place, that's why I stepped in. Sure its a bike forum i get that completly, but seriously, someone had to say something. Either way! R.I.P. Everyone go out and ride and enjoy the day, up here in Canada I got some awesome sunshine!
Oh joy another fucking pissing contest started by yet another ignorant dumb fuck. Why cant people on this site just be stoked for a good fucking photo instead of pissing on each others lives and comparing the most ridiculous statistics. If you want to go shoot shit at each other start a forum for stupid discussions somewhere far far away from here.
I dont understand why in all mighty fuck you have to be such fucking losers on here all the time.
Kids like that make americans look terrible, trust me we are not all insensitive pricks looking for the next contest to win. Saying we were the only ones affected is not only incredibly selfish but terribly arrogant. That being said, RIP for all those who lost their lives and sick picture, keep shredding
Just had to add my 2 cents to the 9-11 dialogue, for what its worth...
I'll let Alan Jackson do the talking:
"I'm just a singer of simple songs; I'm not a real political man I watch CNN but I'm not sure I could tell you the difference in Iraq and Iran But I know Jesus and I talk to God and I remember this from when I was young: Faith, Hope, and Love are some good things He gave us...and the greatest is Love. The greatest is Love."
frijolemoreno... He made $ from thousands dying. SHUT UP....... no one cares bout stupid american country singers right now. And you didnt learn, you guys went right into their country and killed shit loads of innocent people just like they did to you. Back and forth will never stop. They won on sep 11 and you guys win everyday for the next 10 years? It will happen again and all of you will think - 'What?!? i cant f*cking believe it! WHY?' Remember 93?
I know we are supposed to stop talking about it but.....Did someone say to spam neg prop that kid... hahahahha no need to that little disrespectfull tw@t is gonna get enough neg props as is.... Im sorry now some respect..RIP...to all people of ALL the countries who were lost, and I am sorry for your lose to all who that affects no matter what country they live in. One last thing great picture.... Definitly pod worthy
@Session603 Only cowards live in fear? Are you stupid? People effected by the event have a fear of another attack:S Why do you think there was a crazy amount of security for New York City. Why do you think Police Officers were walking around with full equipment, with a full assualt rifles etc.
People who fear another attack, aren't cowards. If they stay in the shadows of the basement they have some problems, and there were deeply effected by the tragic event emotionaly and mentally, but being a person who took it in, got on with life, pushing forward with confidence, and security, can still hold a slight or common fear like any person would.
@CanadianElements...Yes only cowards live in fear. Are you bored and lonely, looking for someone to be mad at on the internet? Making appropriate adjustments to security based on credible threats isn't fear. It's called common sense and a reasonable reaction to previous and current events. You could've had a valid argument, but you failed miserably. Maybe you should focus on developing coherent sentences before you try to pick an internet fight. Piss off. I'm out of your league.
people need to buck the hell up pull up the socks grow a pair etc etc this whole 'terrorism' pitch thats being sold is getting OLD and im sick of hearing about it a person kills a man, that mans friend gets mad and kills the murderer in the name of revenge and justice. the friend of the murderer seeks vengence and the cycle continues forever, breeding never ending hatred and blind rage. it doesn't make sense does it? nothing comes from killing someone, only an empty space where he/she used to exist. Im not saying those who kill indescrimently should be forgiven, no.. they should be tried and if need be, punished by the full extent of the international law. but what the hell do i know? im just a peace lovin mountainbiking canadian hippie
I can't believe this conversation is still going on, it was already dead? Lol. We have already established that xxslopestylerider9x ,is a "huge twat", idiot, etc or whatever else everyone has said about him. Drop it already lmao. This pissing war has already been put out.
I love this shot. The colours are so vibrant and the angle of the pic straight at the sun is creating fantastic shadow effects. Brilliant shot man. I've also just read the article and there are some inspiring pictures there. I love all the effects you have played around with. There could have been or could still be several shots worthy of POD in that article. Good job
