My squirrel catcher grew some moss!! They are looking good right now and so well weathered in. The Cryptkeeper slayed my trails. I cannot possibly thank you enough bro. How are yours coming along?

 So happy you are loving the Cryptkeeper! Our spot is coming together line by line. Rain was dumping for three days, but the dirt is now super packable. I am going to let the newest line we built settle over winter, but with the weather looking amazing...we will be digging all day today.

 Awesome. Wet dirt is so much more pleasant to work with. Do you guys get snow and frozen ground there over the winter or can you dig year round?

 We need to come up your way to film next year... As long as we can get Zach off the waves, our whole crew will be hitting the road hopefully.

 If that is the case, I need to get a shit-ton of digging done before that goes down. There are some good spots in Ontario worth hitting up and some spots worth avoiding. I would be stoked to guide that tour.

 We will get a very small amount of snow, but the ground can freeze, so we are out of luck for around one month. We keep an eye on it though and regardless of how cold it feels, as much work that we can get done before Spring is optimal. You have a water source at your trails?

 You're lucky. The ground is frozen here and the jumps are covered in a lot of snow from December to March. I dug them out early last year and still couldn't build until late March. Canadian winter = Dirt jump cockblock.

I have a creek for water but it dries up in July or August, so next year I want to build a little pond to collect rain water so we have something once the creek dries up. When the drought hit this season, we would just buy 10 liter jugs of water at the grocery store for $3, poke a hole in the lid and use that to water the jumps. Thankfully this season we got the right amount of rain so that they didn't really get crazy dry. Right now everything is nice and moist so water is not a concern. The dirt is perfect for digging right now. I am headed up again tomorrow to get more done on the 4th. It is currently getting a re-build.

 I will definitely keep you posted as I am the same way. I want our spot to be perfect before we hold our first jam...shit takes time. A lot of time.

I could work on these for the rest of my life and they would never be "perfect" or "finished". That said, I will keep working on them until I turn to dust. (I used quotations because I don't really believe that either of those exist in trail building. Good trails are never perfect or finished).

 Eventhough our ground may freeze for only a short time, my entire spot is sticky gooey clay and can be impossible to work with until Spring. I have to get ready to slide around to get dirt work done. Unless I am moving dirt...I end up causing more problems than good. We just installed two frost proof hydrants which are amazing, but you should get a rain barrel, a catch basin, and store up all of the snow melt you get. That would help you a ton...

 I find when the dirt gets really sticky, WD-40 on my shovel helps a bit. Have to re-apply kinda regularly though and it's probably not the best for the environment either.

Good call. I have 2 big blue barrels up there that I could use for that. I still want the pond for aesthetics, but that is a good idea (using the melt run-off). I will have to get MacGyver on that shit for next year. I have all winter to plan that hahahaha.

Read up on rain catching systems as people will run all of there water from a system like this at a home. It can be very effective.

I would bury the barrels kinda in a hill with a slot dug out at the front so I can still move them if need be, but I definitely want water to flow downhill a bit into anything I use to catch it.

 I have had drainage issues with my high ground water, so I have been going nuts with research. Last week, we installed a massive french drain and regraded any areas to divert water. But, the concept on the drain would be the same, except you channel it to be caught in the barrels. Keeping them in the ground would minimize evaporation. Could be sick...

 I have a few culvert pieces that are about to come in very handy!! That little hamster in my head just started running on his little wheel. The good ideas are starting to flow. I will also have to figure out where to put it tomorrow. Thanks bro, useful chat.

 So god damn good. I do not regret selling the Majesty at all. This suits me way better and also accommodates my height better.

 Overall, what's better a Maj or this badboy? It looks amazing.

 If you ride dirt, this is the frame. The BB drop and shorter TT just make it ride fucking proper. I have no real complaints about the C-Keeper.

 As an all around frame, would you go for this or a Streetsweeper.

 I haven't ridden the sweeper but based on the riding I do, I would stay on my frame. You can't ask a dude on an apples only diet what type of oranges he prefers. I am going to ride my C-Keeper until it turns to dust.

 And when it turns to dust, they'll give you a new one. What the f*ck is better than that?

 Yar, frame has a lifetime warranty (to the original owner) and as you can see above, Eric and I have open lines of communication. Gives me confidence. To be honest though; this frame is well made and solid as hell, it will not break.
