I do enjoy the highlight created by the flash. If it wasn't there, the rider would get lost in the photo. Although, I could see the flash being placed at a different angle to where the shadow is not so dominant behind the rider. Maybe off to the side or closer to the base of the rock, where it still highlights the rider and does not create such a stark shadow.
Great image though. I wish I had the time and tech to experiment like this. Keep up the good work!
I actually prefer the slightly Juiced flash in this shot. The slight overexposure pulls your eye directly to the rider first then you can kind of wander through the rest of the image. Good job!
Actually u messed it up. The second line was from the second verse not the first. Maybe the fact that it did not rhyme was a clue? I see them bloom for me and you, is what it should have been. Unreal.
I personally think that came out sick with such a low shutter speed. I get a little to cautious to let mine that low.
apart from that outstanding shadow from the flash, I find this shot soo soo epic!!
haha Im just gonna assume some cameras handle better shutter speeds than others. Theres probably something technical in understanding how that works that I have missed, being the stingy person I am.
blur is affected by a lot more than just shutter speed. A subject moving across the frame will can be quite blurred at even a 500th of a second, while you can freeze a subject moving towards you at 1/125th. And the closer something is to the camera the more it will blur, motion relative to the camera...
Nice one Mike. Awesome shot, lovin the mos and greeness. it reminds me of the good ol' days!
The way some of your shot have been looking I'm surprised you only now nabed POD.
I normally don't understand the picture by looking at the thumbnail, so I open it and understand what's going on... In this one I still don't get it. Cool
Pulling that down with a Layer/Blend mode would be fast and easy. Even stamping out the shadow would be pretty easy if you were inclined. Solid image like it!
I've been riding a lot of the valley in Whistler last summer, but can't figure out where is this line.
Mel's Dilemma being a 'confusing' trail, lot of of options here.
I'm lost.
