We start with a nearly new set of Mavic Crossmax SX wheels set up for quick release in the rear and a 20-millimeter through axle up front. Using the parts Mavic ships in its new wheelset kits, we will change the axles to fit a 142/12mm rear through-axle and QR15 through-axle fork.
