 Haha yeah but my seat is lighter too. I didn't realise how light your wheels were, the rims are heavier than mine so my hubs must weigh a ton :O And i thought our tyres would be a similar weight. Our brakes must be similar weights...our bars and sprocket can't be far off. So i really struggle to see how mine is half a pound heavier Razz

 The pedals are nearly half the weight of yours which will help! My brake and definitely rotor will be lighter (SLX weigh a tonne, I've had one), I have sub 100g tubes, non lock on grips, lighter bars, lighter stem by a fair bit, front wheel is on revolution spokes, sprocket etc. mine is heavier, but at most throughout it'd be 150g including sprocket, chain and wide based cog

 The pedals i currently run are echo tr pedals which are only 330 grams, what do yours weigh?

Fair enough on the bars, stem, tubes etc but still... Razz

 My bad on the pedals then, they look like V12's in your pictures. Mine are 265g brand new with all the pins. They've got less than 10 pins between both pedals and the grooved surface has worn to be smooth now.Well used for sure!

 They are v8's in that pic lol

@your pedals....wtf ?!?

what are they may i ask?
  • 1 0
 They're Twenty6 Prerunner's with a Ti axle, the original version too as the new ones are heavier due to wrench flats on the axle and use of a sealed bearing instead of a bushing at the end. They've lasted well but the end is nigh, one has a crack in the body that I'm waiting to snap through before I spend my dorrah on something else.

 Wow just looked them up and they cost the same as my frame!

Must be pretty sick pedals though tup

 Kind of surprised you aren't running a one-piece seat and post, that would save you some major grams. It irritates me that you aren't even close to bottoming out on weight, and most of the savings would be pretty cheap. I am super jealous.

 I struggle to find a single part on this bike that's lighter than my dartmoor...how is it half a pound lighter?!?!

 You've literally only got a lighter frame fork and crankset man, most of what is on it is in the 'weight game' album, I'm sure you'll see enough to explain where I'm saving weight on you there. Not trying to be a dick here, just saying it seems simple.
