Selected by Ian Hylands - Nose pivot turns are a little bit trialsy for most of us, but in some places they're a requirement. This is one of those places. Amazing scenery...
In skiing we call that a "no-fall zone." If it were me riding, the picture would look exactly the same. Only i would be doing an endo not a "nose pivot" and i think my face would look slightly less calm.
Pffft, no problem, I do this all the time as well........and after I stop the bleeding I limp down the mountain to get my bike.
This guy.....I don't even know how he got the rear end of the bike in the air since his enormous balls would be weighing it down. Props, and awesome POD!
Tre Cime is in the back ground, I think it mount perdito (?) Where some of cliff hanger - the bit with the bolt gun farce - was filmed at the back of. I climbed there a few years ago and don't remember a great deal there I'd ride on
This is my desktop on my workstation for a while and its good to see that this awesome picture becomes more Feedback.
Infinitetrails save the soul of biking in a special way. Congratulations for the POD Sebastian!
This photo isn't all it's made out to be. I've been to this exact place when I was staying in Cortina and the ground just out of shot is flat. Even a 10yr old kid could climb up a few feet and flick the back end up before taking a photo.
Nice scenery though, but defo not OMG!
...but he wasn't just hiking up a few feet, as documented by the article Into Thin Air. Even if there was a foam pit surrounding this rock, I wouldn't want to know about it. Amazing shot and riding.
I've seen the documentary, and where this guy is, it's like a bridleway up to this point. You can see it traversing the ski slope toward tres cime di lavaredo.
