hehe I love it at this- 60 degree head angle and 1235mm wheelbase Big Grin - slack, low and long Big Grin perfect for fort william Razz

Looks sweet! I'm contemplating getting some offset bushings for my M9 so I can run it at 61.5 degrees.
  • 1 0
ye. the bike will be more stable and you should be able to go into corners at higher speeds.
  • 2 1
That doesnt look very nice to ride at that angle. What does is feel like in general ?
  • 1 0
its amazing to ride. It so stable and it goes where ever I point the front wheel. no delay like on other bike. I just love it and dont know why people criticize me so much for it. well its personal preference after all.
  • 3 0
what bikes have a "delay" when you turn it.....
  • 1 0
its not so much as a delay- as less grip at the front wheel- so you dont feel as confident when turning in. comapred to my old bike i can feel the front tyre gripping much harder and so I can also turn faster and harder. There is more grip at the front due to the longer wheelbase and having more weight over the front wheel as the front end is lower.

yah that makes sense looks like a sick bike to ride
  • 1 0
what a shitter.... Wink sick man !
  • 1 0
This is sick denis.... how does it ride ?
  • 1 0
Its much more stable compared to my old frame. The bike is so long- for the first ride it felt like I was riding a truck.. haha But after that i got used to it. it also pedals better than my iron horse sunday.

sweet, its so long, low and slack Razz

  • 1 0
Every time I ride the bike I am surprised by how stable it is and how easy it is to pedal and carry speed. I will upload a few pictures of me riding it to show what she is capable of Razz

kushtyyyyy! I've just got me 1st downhill bike and it feels sick!
  • 1 0
looks like the head tube angle is to steep.
  • 1 0
HOLY! is he running like an angle set or... idk it just looks like if you were to drop it, it would snap in a sec. not hating on morewood.
  • 1 0
Its a mondraker, and both photos are of my bike. the head angle is 59.9 Smile and barrel runs it like this and not heard of any snapped frames yet.
  • 1 0
thats crazy, but only 59.9 degrees? i ask because im pretty sure the kona entourage is 65 and dosent look nearly as steep.
  • 1 0
yes it is 59.9. I think you have it wrong- as the head angle gets slacker you go down in numbers- eg 60 degrees is slack.... 65 degrees is considered a steep head angle.
  • 1 0
 oh wow love it
  • 1 1
 easy with ur bibles deneese
  • 1 4
that head angle is stupid for fort william is not that steep! 64 degree is where its at look at every bike made to date!
  • 9 0
you are totally incorrect. Fort william is not steep... yes but fort william is rocky... and you need to be stable over rocks... I have tried my sunday at 65, 64 and 63 and its still not stable enough. and 64 was the standard a few years back... eg your nuke proof that is 63, the new ghost bike is 63 summum is stock at 63, turner dhr is 63, transition tr 450- 63. I can think up of more.... Only reason why i want a slack head angle is for stability over rocks... this bike doesn't bounce up and down over the rocks... it is glued down to the ground. Some people like slack bikes other dont. it is all down to personal preference. I know I will suffer through forests.. but I dont care. this head angle allows me to place the front wheel where ever i want it to go.. no questions asked... unlike a steep angled bike... there are benefits and disadvantages. But for my style or riding and the tracks that I ride I feel this is perfect. this also allows you to take inside lines at much faster speeds.

ive mesured the headangle of the nukeproof and its 63.8 and what headangle is the session that has won the world cup? and where was fabian barrel at fort william with his 60 degree headangle?? at the back....
  • 8 1
gee rides his bike at 62.5.. he finished 3rd over all this year.. barrel finished 14th over all - which is good considering he retired after that.. and the rider does count as well.. its what you feel most comfortable with... so why are we even arguing... ride your bike as you wish.. its your bike so go out there and enjoy it and I will enjoy mine Smile Salute
