And again, note to self: Don't let CR borrow your bikes! Well one last piece that won't end up on my bike. Least you caught them before it got ugly! So before you ride do you have to spend an hour with a magnifying glass looking over your bike for cracks? No disrespect meant!

I have something of a sixth sense for seeing cracks. I'm not really proactive about looking for them but I'm really good at spotting and identifying them from my peripheral vision. If I flip over my bike to work on it, I might glance at the headtube, if I'm fucking with the bars I'll look at the stem, etc.
