What is the purpose of having the washer be wavy like that?

It preloads the bearing. Same system as the FSA BB30 cranks essentially.

Drew often speaks in tongues. If he's asking whether the BB is titanium, it is the regular E.13 BB that comes with the 2011 cranks.

Well the "nicro" part confused me. I am used to it being written as NiCro, short for Nickel Chromate, which is a coating applied to some chains to make them more resistant to wear.
