And Nash i don't really care what it falls under in any "category" on pb and with the 36 it will be a light aggressive do-it-all bike and btw not every "slopestyle" bike HAS to have 100-140 suspension I will have no problem riding the slopes at highland with this

but thats what a slope bike is ........

All I'm saying is that im not the only person that looks at the reign x and says it's possible to be converted into an alright slopestyle bike. I think ur getting too caught up in labeling what type of bike it actually is whether than making it your own and what you want it to be. You don't see every pro riding your typical singlespeed 100-140 with small block 8's. At the end of the day it's what you want your bike to be like not society and trends

i never once said that it cant do slope style courses well, but what a bike is is what it is, you cant have a ironhorse sunday and say its a dj, bike because you want to, but you can ride it on djs, its all what you ride yes but your bike will still be that kind of bike no matter what your ride with it

Exactly and there are alot of people who use trance's for 4x bikes and the giant sx is the exact same geo just different parts and there was a guy who rode it at crankworx along with Kurt sorge and his faith
  • 1 0
Kurts Faith has the parts its designed to have. Its not necessarily being used for what its meant for. Its mostly mean for FR/light DH, but it can be used for Slopestyle. And Aggys Entourage that he rode at Crankworx was designed for the parts it has. He just rode slopestyle on it. You can do slopestyle on your Reign, its just not necessarily designed for it

 Yeah! Thank you!
  • 1 0
i said that already, but i also said that just because you want it to be a slope bike it doesnt mean it is,

Im on both sides of this convo. This Reign can be used for slopestlye, just not designed for it, so I wouldnt recommend going and putting on 140mm or less travel forks, could really f*ck up the geo. Change up a few things like get rid of front gears, air rear shock maybe. Just that sorta thing

EDIT: Yeah I said basically the same thing as you Nash, just a bit more complicated Razz

exactly I'm not gonna go and put a fricken argyle on it. i nice 160 for 36 without the front gears and shit and maybe some sm8's or gear aka and a my dj style seat with a shorter post that i can put down to get out of the way. I am also considering a hydraulic gyro

OMG LOOOL Reign is a great slope bike..Just cause it has more travel does not mean that it isnt a slope bike some people used totems for slope riding and others use 100mm forks... BTW Nashmeyer I doubt you will being doing and double backflips of to many tail whips i also doubt kona-stinky-trek will be doing that many either so what is the point of this argument its a nice bike you can ride dh/am/ss wtvr and looking at your bikes nashmeyer you are defiantly not the one to judge
  • 1 0
 amen!
  • 1 0
If this is pointed at me. Well I didnt say it isnt a slope bike. If you read what I said, I said just DONT put less than 140mm forks. Is what your saying aimed at Nash or me?

@kona-stinky-trek- Unless your doing a lot of barspins/tailwhips, dont bother getting a gyro, just get a bit longer cable
  • 2 0
your a straight up idiot , i never once said it was a bad bike, hell its a nice bike. all i said was its a not a slope. who are you to judge? you aint got shit on me? and tell me one thing thats wrong with my bike, because personally i ride them and everything thats on them is the way i like them, there practical and work great for me
  • 1 0
Yeah I'm going back and forth on it. i guess it would keep a cleaner look with out one
  • 1 0
Ohh no its directed at nashmeyer cause hes just blindly hating on a good bike...i think what you said is very accurate the bike isnt designed for it...doesnt mean it cant do it!
  • 1 0
ovi you cant read never once said its a bad bike, and you will never see me putting that, obvi u cannot read
  • 1 0
You didnt say its a bad bike but you said this
Nashmeyer (1 hours ago)
This is no where close to being a slope bike , and never will

But this is where your completely right
Nashmeyer (1 hours ago)
but its not ment to be a slope bike. its ment to run a 160mm fork and shock not a 100-140mm it wont ride towards its geo
  • 1 0
sure you can ride slope on a bmx though , it doesnt make slope bike, this bike can def ride slope, but its made more towards dh/fr/aggressive trail, hell id love this bike , but it still doesnt make it a slope bike. bikesaremad doesnt realize that just cuz u ride it for slope doesnt mean it is

 This^

Exactley what I was thinking
  • 1 0
Honestly I don't think it's that big of a deal...
  • 1 0
Its not really. Im just stating what I think Smile
  • 1 0
Yeh what you think is completely right Smile
  • 1 0
i thought of it more of a disscusion witch would have turned out better untill bikesaremad guy came in and gave us his 2 cents. we were bassically on the same pagethen
  • 1 0
lol its will be a slope bike! slopestyle bmx! lol
  • 2 0
No I understand what you're saying nash with it not being designed for slope but I just think you should realize that I will call it whatever I want cause it's my bike and I will be riding parks and jumps with this so I don't really care what category of bike it should be placed under. It's a nice light flickable reliable bike that with the right build will handle whatever the slopestyle course and trails throw at it
  • 1 0
A dh bike should have a dh tire and seat
  • 1 0
T'is not a dh bike but an aggressive trail bike making it's way into the slope world
  • 1 1
This is no where close to being a slope bike , and never will
  • 1 0
Say what you want but it's gonna turn out nice...just trust me this once it already weighs 30 lbs
  • 1 0
but its not ment to be a slope bike. its ment to run a 160mm fork and shock not a 100-140mm it wont ride towards its geo
  • 1 0
 Thats not 30pounds
  • 1 0
No word of a lie but it's with a flimsy stupid light front wheel and no seat or post atm
  • 1 0
whats the weight have to do with anything?
  • 1 0
Sorry I'm on my iPhone I meant to hit reply
