This is simple, just an extreme sports manifestation of the weak force interaction, whereby particles can exchange type through a mediating boson (in this case a flag pole). hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/particles/qrkdec.html
WTF!!! i would love to jump a jump like that. but i would rather land on the back side of the land rather than 30m to flat. plus i think he took the whole "just huck to flat" abit to serious lol
Crazy Picture! Not to take away from the picture but i think POD should be taken by non proffesional photographers to give the young guns a shot. Just an idea.
@DHnewboy yes it's definitely photoshopped, there's not 7 skiers and a biker going off the jump at the same time. But the photoshop job really shows how much Suski overjumped this thing by...
pod is about greatness not overshooting the shit outta your landing and ditching ur bike mid air this is a fuckin disappointment pinkbike... more like this is a fuckin disappointment IanHylands
yeah wait what the f*ck is going on here. this makes no sense. and for that reason i would strongly agree to the statement "a truly f*cking awful photo[...] once again"... though hylands isn't that bad with his selection, though this one, especially, is bad.. and though i can dig the ideology behind selecting the skier / biker, even the skier is just far from aesthetically pleasing and looks just junky - he too seems on the verge of a full bail.
Actually I think it's a truly awesome photo that's why I picked it, and just because it's something beyond your understanding is no reason to hate on it. Of course that's seems to be the way of the world these days, as they say "haters gonna hate" but please express your ignorance somewhere else.
Of course this is photoshopped, that shouldn't even be a comment it's so obvious, and that's the point of the whole photo. It's a shot of Łukasz Suski overjumping and bailing off of a pretty huge jump. He injured himself a fair bit on this. The sequence of the skier hitting the jump with the correct speed to land in the sweet spot is an awesome juxtaposition that shows really well just how much Suski overjumped it by. I'm sorry I didn't write that in the description, I thought it was fairly obvious and I guess I was wrong. Now you know what's going on and why I chose it, hopefully it will help you all appreciate it a little more for what it is.
yes, yes, owned. perhaps cursing was not an appropriate way to express my ignorance, but though i understand why you chose it and what you feel creates a great juxtaposition - i still do not agree this is POD worthy just because it highlights how much bigger he is going than the skier. i personally think the skier body position is ugly, not as aesthetically pleasing for me, and even clogs up the photo. IMO, just the shot of the biker as is, with the colors, would have been fine and more of a statement to how massive the biker went.
despite this - its still a good photo, i just expressed my confusion via drunken rant. so yes, owned, but, still valid, educated haha, opinion.
Reminds me a joke i heard yesterday "A guy has been cheated by his wife and want to tell about it to a friend.Cheated guy:My friend i am not feeling well i want to jump off the window! His friend:You a*shole horns are spring up not wings!!!!!
Is it me or isit photoshoped? if you look closely you can see that the rider is in exactly same position as he bike like hes doing a back flip but they just made it to look like hes standing on the mountain? Im cofused man lol
Hmmm......ya think the guy on the bike hit the jump just a teeny weeny bit too fast??? I'd rather be the guy on the skies any day...and I'm a snowboarder!
I Feel his pain, Im sure most of us have been in that situation where we relay needed to stop what were doing to do poo's. Even if its a bad time and place.
