are those coil lyriks? any idea if a clunking noise is normal.. like right at the start of compression.. they are brand new so i dunno if it will go away or if theyre faulty...

Yeah the same coil ones as yours, no mine don't clunk. I am positive that is the spring hitting off the sidewall in of the stanchion. Just open up the coil side and see how it's sitting. There is grooves on the preload cap that should hold the spring in place.

Or grease the spring a bit. I know my Pike clunks when the spring is not sitting properly or I need to grease the spring

are yours the coil DH ones without the u turn or flood gate? strange that the would do that if they are brand new? but nothing serious?! il have a look tomorrow, thanks!

They are 170mm travel, no u turn or floodgate. Spring knock is quite common.

My Totems did it before I had them, was just the spring not sitting properly!

I bought the frame second hand, hence the ti coil ccdb shock. It is the 50 but they are the exact same frames. I have only been out on it twice but I love it, it pedals up hill like a goat thanks to the 75 degree seat angle but still descends really well with a nice slack head angle and tracks really well too.
