If you're not going to de-tab I think you should get a bigger chainring, it looks silly with the tabs. Also cut the steerer tube down a bit. The tabs and the steerer are what hold it back from getting a fave from me!
  • 3 0
I can't decide whether or not i want to detab them, but i'm getting a 24t chainring in blue soon, which is 2t bigger than this. I'm sure you can look past the minor imperfections and find it inside yourself to fave it Wink

Get like a 33t to fill the space. Then the tabs won't look daft. or y'know just cut the tabs.
  • 2 0
Fuck 33-10 haha. I'd rather take the hit on looks
  • 1 0
 It's so light and it's 24"

I think 32-10 would be bearable. And you would get pretty hench.
  • 2 0
Going from 22 to 32...i'm alright haha. May cut the tabs...will see Wink
  • 1 0
Detabbing is a go! Charge rider will be doing it for me in the next couple of days...should look cleeeean Big Grin

Not a big fan of MTB cranks, find they look weird on street bikes, but otherwise looks fucking dialed!
  • 1 0
I agree bimmex cranks would look better but i love the strength/weight of slx's so they're here to stay for now at least Smile
  • 1 0

  • 1 0
Liking rigid? I'm thinking of getting one.
  • 1 0
rigid is fantastic if it suits your bikes geometry. i think you'd need quite a long a2c for the geo to remain sweet, but it's worth giving a go as it's so cheap to do.
  • 1 0
I was thinking of getting the short version of the Tchoker, 20mm ( I'm to cheap to buy a new hub haha ) I was leaning towards the large version but my buddy told me that dob said told him the short version would ride better when he ordered his.
  • 1 0
I'd personally say go with the long, but it's up to you. What are the a2c's of the short and long?
  • 1 0
430mm for the short and 450mm for the long. I asked one of the dob riders who runs it and he also recomended i use the short.
  • 1 0
fair enough, the long sounds perfect for your frame imo, but i'm sure those guys know what they're talking about haha
  • 1 0
tbh, I thought the long sounded better to haha, but i figured the people who designed the frame/ there rider know a bit better then me. lol.
  • 1 0
What a2c are you running atmo?
  • 1 0
Actually, I have no idea :/ I have an 09 Dj2 at 80mm it came that way on my old bike I never really thought about it.
  • 1 0
 what are those rims?
  • 1 0
 octane one solar.
  • 1 0
 ok, check my ghetto Smile
  • 2 0
 Looks sweet dude Smile
  • 1 0
 how are the hubs?
  • 1 0
Bearings in the rear were grindy, but then one day went smooth haha. No complaints other than that, good sealing, easy to service, sound good and are a good weight, great hubs all in all tup
  • 1 0
 tried pegs on the front?
  • 2 0
Nope not yet. Grinding doesn't appeal to me that much, but I may in the future
  • 1 0
do the bolts feel solid enough for pegs?
  • 1 0
 Yeah i'd say so
  • 1 0
 stem?
  • 1 0
Dartmoor funky 25.4 with a shim to fit the bars.

Couldn't recommend it more - Light, short (so very direct turning), stiff and looks amazing tup
  • 1 0
Gunna run a quark for now.
