What they forgot to mention in this writeup is the new crank design 15 years in the making came out weighing 39.3 ounces and way heavier than original prof crank/bb setup with spider not to mention they cost $460. This comes as huge disapointment to loyal profile customers who have been using their products since day 1 before most of these kids were born. We wanted a real elite crank from profile and would consider a crazy insane price tag if there was actually a weight savings benefit. This was a big let down and confusing giving the amount of solid light weight crank options for 1/3 the cost of these elites. I know they can make a better design with steel than this at a respectable weight. After soo many years they should have easily figured this out. Shame on you profile hows about shimano slx for $90 biotch. Easy crank removal are you kidding me. Who needs to take the cranks off at the trails? You guys are freakin slimebags.

? Have you ever ridden profiles? Probably not. Basically you'd buy one set, and never need another set of cranks ever again. Lifetime warrenty FTW. Basically, instead of buying a new pair of Saints every 2 years, you can run one set of profiles for 10 years.

(My profile race arms are 15 years old and still work like a champ).

And how is "middle age" relative? Everyone and their monkeys uncle was creaming over Deity when they released cranks. If you think because it's not aluminum it's middle age, you really need to re-think your mentality with bikes. Some of the best bikes on the market are steel. Some of the best products on the market are steel. Steel has more history in MTB than both aluminum and carbon combined. Tried, proven, and has more race wins on 2 wheels than any other type of material.

Totally agree. Aluminium is a costcutting material. Well engineered steel in bikes is amazing. My 35 Year old roadframe and 25kmiles is still fine.
