She can keep it at home or at the trailer, her choice. I'm sure this bike has a long way of events to attend to.

It's really not as clear cut as that. Sometimes they might just give them the bike and she'll keep it; or she'll send it back for prototyping; or it'll travel with the team and so on and so forth... There's a multitude of options as to what will happen, and it just comes down to the situation the rider/team/company is in.
