haha. yeah. It really wasn't $15,000. I was making more of a joke about the pain of all the money it took to get it there. It probably cost about $6,000 for the frame, components, and tear down, then about a couple thousand for the custom paint job, and $500 or $600 to put it all back together . Tearing a frame down to paint is a nightmare. You have to remove all the bearings. What a project. Im not sure I would ever do it again lol.

you should do it again looks better than the original paint from spez

you got ripped off on the labor to put the bike back together, and they didn't take the time to set the proper angle on your seat. Why didn't you do it yourself??

The seat is already coming off. I'm putting a Thompson on and changing the angle. I have never ridden the bike so I really didn't care that much about it, but its time to either sell it or schred it!!!!!!!!!

@sam264. Yeah. They said they had 4 paint layers and over 20 hours of taping on the last layer(Green). Pretty crazy. I'm glad it wasn't me doing that taping.

I had them clear coat it 2X just cause it was so dam expensive I wanted to make sure it didn't chip as easily.

A solid color would have only ran about $400 to do. Solid green next time? haha

I'm surprised the frame and components were only 6,000. Where'd you order them from?
  • 1 0
Probably totaled around $10,000 when everything was said and done

$10,000 and you didn't bother to get the seat and bar angle right? Ruins the entire bike for these pictures.
