Composite image, Jumps and Rider is real,Taken with D3s this year, Un moved. Sunset with D90 was taken a while ago looking over the golf course during a bushfire. Deitys fresh blood rider Tom Hall Can Boost.
its not like anyone has been deceived though, its clearly marketed as a composite image which is arguably a whole other creative aspect of modern photography. Must have taken a lot of time and craft too. But yeah, would be amazing if this was all one image
Yeah it is easy to mess it up. This was a really quick rough composite i put together just to get the usual "photoshopped" comments going for a laugh. I know there is reminants of the original trees in the sky. Good spotting. Nothing like stiring the pot a bit. Ha ha
I am all for the use of photoshop, but I think these composite images are taking it too far and shouldn't be considered for POD. To me a POD should be a true capture - as in a capture of one moment, not a combination.
It looks cool and all, but I feel a bit cheated when I read that it's not real.
Do you feel that a movie is undeserving of nominations for awards if there is CGI in it? Who cares if it's photoshoped or not? The point is that it's a rad picture. If you want to get technical, then a photography site is a better medium for that rather than a site about bikes.
I don't think I'm being technical, honestly I don't know enough about photography to get technical, I just believe a photo should be a capture of a real moment. Not saying it's not cool, but it's not A photo.
I didn't thought I will say that, but there is something bad shopped... if you are looking sideways on your display you will see some contours in the sky and they are not natural!
well, the author honestly says this is a composite image, so no complaints here. Digital photography ALWAYS involves processing to a certain extent and with this image the technique works, so why not?
One of the toughest jobs for a photographer is finding the balance between ambient light and flash. Especially as the sun is fading. It's really a shame this isn't 1 shot, but I'm sure you can nail it! Congrats on POD
