I have my doubts whether in this setup the bike is ready for proper high alpine biking.... The brakes will not be able to cope with a >800hm decent. Better slap on some XTR trail or Saints. Tires also seem not beefy enough.

Clearly you have not tried the new XO trail 4 piston brake by avid- They work just fine on my DH bike, but the tires do need some more meat!

tires are actually pretty good! thought the same thing then rode some on a super rocky trail and didnt get any flats

so they hauled the bike all the way up there , then cleaned the shit outer it just to take a couple of pictures ...
